The site is a Royal Temple of Mengwi Dynasty built in the seventeenth century, boasting the wonderful temple building with typical roof as well as Balinese Architecture, it is set on the land which is surrounded by the big fish pond and look like a drift on the water. The Pura Taman Ayun means the garden temple in the water. As one of the most prominent temple on the island, the Pura Taman Ayun is respected not only the divinities it was built for the first time for, also this sacred and beautiful temple is built for such great festivals and all religious events.
Bali has thousands of Temples and each has its own unique dedications, architecture, design and location. Each regency of Bali has amazing temples to offer and each has their own symbols. One of Bali’s Holiest and most Spectacular (featuring on magnets, postcards and even the currency) is Ulu Danu Beratan Temple located on the shores of Lake Beratan near Bedugul. It was built in 1633 for offering ceremonies to the Lake & River Goddess, Dewi Danu as Lake Bratan is the main source of irrigation & water in central Bali. As you enter the complex you will be greeted with a beautiful garden similar to European style with grasses and flowers beautifully crafted and trimmed. A lovely place to sit, reflex and reflect if you’re lucky enough to swerve the instagrammers!
The Island of Bali is lush green and you may find some fruits and vegetations here which you don’t get anywhere else in the world, Candi Kuning Fruit & Vegetable Market, though it is not a historical place or museum, yet it has worth watching you see beautiful (tasty too) fruits and sparking green vegetables here, which off course introduce you to the fertility of this beautiful Island. The colorful displays of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and flowers were well done. The variety of fruits was also fascinating, it has over 100 shops not only fresh fruits which you can buy and taste but dry fruits, traditional Balinese dresses, and local art crafts. I recommend a glass of fresh fruit juice here
Nominated for designation as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Jatiluwih offers a beautiful view of contoured rice terraces irrigated using an impressive communal water system developed by Balinese farmers. The scenic drive through the quaint villages and verdant slopes of the central coastal regency of Tabanan adds to the experience. Jatiluwih rice terrace is a must visit in Bali. Feels like it is straight from some fairy tale. Mountains in the background add to the beauty of the the rice terrace. There’s so much to see, trekking around the lush greens of the terraces made you soak in more of the Balinese culture and tradition!. It is scenic and picturesque at any angle as you walk around the paths. On a semi cloudy day it is majestic to walk around and look as far as your eyes can see the rice terraces and then beyond the sea. Another place to just take it easy in Bali, enjoy nature and be grateful for the abundance.
Great place for a short stop on a tour, with informative guide to take you through the plantation and explain the coffee making process, then an opportunity for free sampling with small gift shop if you wish to purchase anything.
Tanah Lot Temple, an ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves. One of the most beautiful sunsets in the island can be seen here. Tanah Lot Temple is a gorgeous temple complex with remarkable architectural features, very beautiful temple located in the middle of a beach. Nice spot to see the sunset and enjoy the the view. A good place to watch the sunset is from the cliff top restaurants where for the price of a drink you can get a front row seat on a beautiful sunset overlooking the temple and beach.
